I put on all the MSFT patches too, for both Windows and did a “fix” of office online via the control panel. That did not help either. I was a little worried about what might happen to my data. This worked for me.
But I don’t know what would happen in this scenario if someone did not have OneNote Online. I still think this was caused by a syncing issue. I tried to create a new notebook and to store it locally on the HDD, but after i was opened again OneNote it crashed again. I have made the repair of the Office from your link, but the application doesn’t change the behaviour.
