Press OK. A cursor appears, and the Options bar reflects properties for your text. If you would prefer, you can select the drop-down menu and scroll to the Myriad Pro typeface.

The Color picker appears. Select white, or a light color. You will now add the text for the year, and then rotate and position it on the left side of the image. You can click on the confirmation checkbox in the upper-right of the Type tool Options bar. Note that the Options bar now offers resources that allow you to resize and rotate this layer. In this last part of the lesson you take advantage of the new Puppet Warp feature.

For example, if you add a Color Balance adjustment layer to an image, you can experiment with difer- ent colors repeatedly, because the change occurs only on the adjustment layer.

If you decide to return to the original pixel values, you can hide or delete the adjust- ment layer. An arrow appears in the Layers panel indicating that the adjustment layer applies only to the Flower2 layer. You can edit the text and watch how the layer efect tracks the change. When you work speciic layers quickly, but has no efect on which in a complex ile with layers are visible or their stacking order. Then click Save. This ocean image file contains three layers that were shot separately, and then copied and pasted into one image.

When a blending mode is applied to a group, Photoshop treats the group as a single merged object and then applies the blending mode. Experiment with blending modes to get the efect you want.
